Govt launches CBDC-based digital food coupon pilot in Gujarat to modernise PDS

The Government of India has rolled out a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)-based digital food coupon pilot in Gujarat, aiming to modernise the Public Distribution System (PDS) and enhance transparency in subsidy delivery.
